Ward Christmas party
So Boston was doing fine on Santas lap as long as he had treats. But as soon as we took them away to get a good picture (hoping for a good Christmas card this year) He soon realized where he was, and he was not happy. Major alligator tears and screams that seemed to be uncontrollable.
Bailey seemed fined, she could care less what was going on around her. Boston is currently is not a fan Santa. We went to the mall the other day. We asked Boston if he wanted to sit on Santas lap. He shook his head no and quickly attached himself to his dad's leg not allowing us to go shopping in the direction we needed to go. Oh well maybe next year!.

A Christmas Orange
However impossible and elusive the Christmas message may seem some years, I aways take great comfort in this story of a little orphan boy.
Jake was a resident of an orphan's home. One of ten children supported by what contributions the home could secure on a continuous struggle. There was very little to eat. It was seldom very warm in the winter time, for fuel was expensive. But at Christmas time there always seemed to be a little more to eat and the home seemed a little bit warmer, and it was a time for more than the usual enjoyment. But,more than this, there was an orange. At Christmas each child received an orange. The only time of the year that such a rare thing was provided-and it was coveted by each child like no other thing they had ever possessed. They would save it for several days. Admiring it, feeling it, loving it, and contemplating the moment when they would eat it. Truly it was the "piece de resistance" to the Christmas time, and the year, for many would wait until the New Year's Day or later to eat it. Often times it would start to dry out and shrivel before they would eat it in order to salvage what they could.
This Christmas Day Jake had offended the rules or authority of the home in some manner and his punishment was the loss of the orange privilege. After a year of waiting for this rare occasion, for the most desired of all rewards, it was to be denied. Although the offense was rather minor, still it was an infraction of the rules that must govern in regulated society. Jake spent Christmas Day empty and alone-it even seemed that the other children did not want to associate with the person who did not have an orange.
Nighttime arrived and this was worst of all. Jake could not sleep. There was no love in the world. There was no forgiving. And certainly there could be no God that would permit a contrite little soul to suffer so much by himself. Silently he sobbed for the future of mankind; and the world perhaps, but mostly because he did not have an orange like the other kids did.
A soft hand placed on Jake's shoulder startled him momentarily and an object was quickly shoved into his hand. The donor into the dark of the room leaving Jake with what he did not immediately identify as an orange. Not a regular run-of-the-orchard orange, but one fabricated from segments of nine oranges. Nine other highly prized oranges that would of out of necessity be eaten this day instead of several days hence.

I am...
I am: a mother of two
I think: that one day I will get a full night sleep
I know: the church is true
I want: my children to know I love them
I dislike: cleaning toilets
I miss: Dave when he has to go to work
I fear: I am never going to loose baby weight!
I feel: lonely some times
I hear: Boston falling all the time
I smell: dirty diapers
I crave: root beer floats all the time
I cry: when I see a wedding video
I search: for good deals all the time
I wonder: if I will ever own my own home
I regret: not finishing college
I love: dating my husband
I always: want to have the spirit in my home
I worry: about my children turning into teenagers
I am not: wild about horses
I have: been blessed with the atonement
I remember: what's not always easy is always worth it
I believe: that honesty is the best policy
I danced: all night at my wedding
I sing: to Bailey to comfort her
I don't always: feel like getting up the mornings
I argue: if I feel I am right
I write: almost never unless it's to a missionary
I win: art contests in grade school
I lose: my patients when I am not on time
I wish: to see my children serve missions and get married in the temple
I listen: to all kinds of music
I don't understand: why fall has to end so quickly
I can usually be found: organizing some thing
I am scared: of gorillas (I know silly right?)
I need: my family around me
I forget: to invite people until the last min.
I am happy when: I can help where I can
I think: that one day I will get a full night sleep
I know: the church is true

Sail away, sail away, sail away!
We took Boston Sailing on Thursday, are good friend Riley just bought himself a fancy new sail boat. He was so kind enough to let us sail away for the day with him! Thanks Riley. Boston had such a good time although it was a lot of work for me. If any of you have been to Utah lake I am sure you know how gross it is, I spent most of the time telling Boston to stop putting sand, rocks and stuff I wasn't so sure about in his mouth! But all and all we had a wonderful and relaxing time!
Day without any kids! Yeah!
I don't want any one to think I don't like my kids but come on mom's need a break! Dave and mine new friends the Senneffs invited us to go to Lagoon with them on Friday. What an awesome time we had with an awesome couple! Thanks guys for giving us that break and letting us have a wonderful Date night! We sure needed it! Let's do it again.
Family reunion
On Sunday Dave and I as well as his family meet up with some long time friends of theres, the Bird's. What a great time we had. Dave could not wait to see them, he was like a little kid that can not wait to go to Disneyland! We were sorry that Chris (Dave's bro) as well as Matt (Dave's other bro) could not join us. We hope that they can next time! What a wonderful and kind family they are. Thanks again for your wonderful friendship!

Night at the Museum
So we took Boston to his first Dino. museum at Thanksgiving point. It was a lot of fun! I think that we may have a little palentologesst on our hands. I have to say this was great museum, because it was so hands on. If your a mom like me and your kid has to be getting into things at all times this is the place to go. If any of you ever have a chance to check it out, do!
